This rugged, portable Go-Box is built into a weather-resistant Apache 4800 case (available in black, green, orange, tan, and yellow) and designed for a licensed ham radio operator.
It features a 9Ah battery mounted on a custom aluminum plate, powering both a Yaesu FT-891 HF transceiver and a Yaesu FTM-510 dual-band VHF/UHF mobile radio.
Charging flexibility is built-in, with support from either a solar panel or AC input, thanks to the integrated solar charge controller.
The Drok power meter provides real-time monitoring of voltage and current, while the built-in cooling fan ensures stable operation in demanding conditions.
The FTM-510’s detachable head allows the lid to be fully closed and stowed away for transport, maximizing space and convenience.
Weighing in at 28.8 lbs, this Go-Box is ready for both the field and the shack—engineered for performance, portability, and durability.

I am completely amazed at how well this Yaesu Go-Box is built. From the moment I got it in my hands, I could tell it was designed to withstand anything you throw at it. The construction feels rugged, professional, and ready for the field.
I recently took it out for a POTA activation and ran about 2 hours on the internal 9Ah battery before setting up my solar panel to recharge, and it kept right on going while I continued operating. The setup was seamless and gave me total confidence in its reliability.
I’ll admit I was a little cautious at first about the removable head mount for the 510, but once I received it, I was blown away. The mount is incredibly sturdy, and the design is pure genius — it locks in solid and gives you that peace of mind you want when you’re operating portable.
